The last unspoiled paradise in Africa and the no.1 adventure riding destination in the world. \nWe meet in Windhoek\, Capital of Namibia\, collect our motorcycles and prepare for the next morning tour start. The ten day  circular journey takes us north west\, up to and along the Kunene River before returning to Windhoek via Swakopmund. Highlights include visits to Epupa Falls\, Marienfluss Valley\, Camp Syncro\, Van Zyls Pass\, Purros Canyons\, Marble Camp and Brandberg Mountain to name a few. Expect to find herds of free range game \, giraffe\, and elephant sharing  the tracks we ride and even the possibility of lions.We’ll meet the nomadic indigenous Himba people\, the women famed for the ochre mud covering they paste onto their bodies and their unique hair plaits. The riding is engaging and varies from steep rocky passes\, sandy two tracks \, wide open desert plains and more\, sometimes all in one day. There is a genuine feeling of warmth towards travellers in  Northern Namibia and virtually no crime. Kaokoland really is the last unspoiled paradise in Africa. \nTour package includes  all fuel\, back-up vehicle\, 2 x nights accommodation in Windhoek\, 1 x nights accommodation in Swakopmund\,  7 days bed & breakfast in the wilderness + selected meals (in remote areas without available lodges)\, basic bike spares\, satellite phones\,  and experienced rider guide. The bikes were in new condition and great fun to ride. John was a great guide\, he was a skilled rider\, knew how to handle people in authority\, and had a decent knowledge of the land and its inhabitants. DESCRIPTION:Eastern Cape Mountain Passes Tour. \nEnd April / May Day long weekend. \nThe Eastern Cape Province is off-road mountain pass territory \, from the Swartberg range in the south to the high mountains of Lesotho to the north. Many of these tracks are seldom used and in poor condition (that’s good in adventure bike speak) \, making for challenging adventure travel. Passes like Bastervoetpad\, Michell’s Pass\, Katberg\, Carlilse’s Hoek\, Volunteersjoek\, Carlilseshoek\, Antoni’s Pass and Otto du Plessis Pass are individually bucket list roads  and we manage to cram in another 20 more in our 5 days. \nWe’ll spend our evenings in stunning rural hamlets like Hogsback \, Rhodes\, Craddock and Patensie. The tour starts and ends in the Karoo town of Prince Albert\, a convenient drive form Cape Town\, Bloemfontein and Port Elizabeth. Accommodation is included for the evening of the 22nd and we return at lunch on the 01May (May day) to give us time to return home the same day. \nThe tour is suitable for the bigger bikes but if the area has had rain a couple of the passes can get tricky. Pillions not advised but possible. \n  \n  \n

Make no mistake this could be a tough days riding. \nSunday we’ll enjoy a leisurely breakfast in Prince Albert before heading back to Calitzdorp on a twisting loop that includes some lesser known jeep tracks\, Swartberg Pass and the highlight of the day of Rooiberg Pass. \nThe route is recommended for riders on lighter bikes and riders on the big twins will be advised to use the available detour around the secret Swartberg track. \nTwo nights bed and breakfast included . DESCRIPTION:One day +- 300km of awesome motorcycle riding in the Cape Winelands. \nOur motorcycle adventure takes us through the Cape Winelands and over famous passes like Franschhoek Pass and Bainskloof on board a KTM1190Adventure or Yamaha XT1200Tenere . This is an all tar route. \nEnjoy a late breakfast on the route and then lunch at a cafe in South Africa’s culinary capital\, Franschhoek. \nWe collect our bikes early morning around 08:30 and return by 17:30. \nZAR3000-00 includes bike\, fuel and rider guide. Drinks and food are excluded. \n  \n(excludes refundable bike damage deposit R25000-00)
