WildWood has been spending a lot of time in our favorite adventure playground. Three 11 day tours in the area from Windhoek to the Angolan border and the Skeleton Coast, probably the last unspoiled piece of paradise in Southern Africa. I’ve included a collection of images that should set the tone of what to expect when you join WildWood on our future Kaokoland Odyssey tours.
What the pictures can’t communicate is the warmth of the Namibian people, the buzz of an huge elephant walking through your camp and the smell of the African air. Many of the tracks are hundreds of miles from the nearest town, accessible only via rugged two track and endless dry riverbeds. Sadly this makes the tour only accessible to experienced riders, able to ride sandy and or rocky tracks, although we always have room for a passenger or two in the support four wheel drive or an extra vehicle if numbers demand. Group size is usually limited to 6 rider guests , but larger parties can be accommodated by request.
We have a fleet of late model KTM690R and Husqvarna 701 motorcycles as rentals or if you choose to ride your own machine we transport the bikes from Cape Town (South Africa) as part of the package cost.
Enjoy the pics and please email me (John) at firstname.lastname@example.org or via the website connect link if you require any more info.
The last Kaokoland tour for 2017 takes place from September 23rd, starting in Windhoek City.
