Our final Kaokoland / Damaraland (north west Namibia) tour for 2024.

The special edition is a shorter (9 days with 7 ride days) version of the regular Kaokoland Odyssey tours. To save a couple of days we charter a small aircraft from Windhoek and flew directly to the northern most part at Ruacana on the Angola border. A stunning low flight over some epic wilderness, including the world renowned Etosha Pans.

Our journey took us alongside the Kunene River to the Epupa Falls and then south back to Windhoek. Highlights included meeting the local Himba people, van Zyl’s pass, Marienfluss Plains, Puros Canyons, Hoanib River Trail, Sesfontein Conservancy, Puros Conservancy, Valley of Desolation, Huab River Trail, Brandberg Mountains, Omaruru River Canyon and Spitzkoppe Mountains.

We spent all 9 nights in awesome local lodges and guesthouses under stunning African skies. True to Kaokoland the weather is always perfect between may and October . It simply will not rain and every day is warm and sunny.

A massive thank you to Drift Adventures (UK) and their group of Kiwi and Brit guests for making this an epic tour in my favourite region of the world. We had so much fun both on and off the bikes. Looking forward to hosting Drift Adventure again in the near future.
