Lesotho Wild – March. 2021
Lesotho is is the only country in the world that is 100% above 1000 meters (3300 feet) and so it stands to reason there are going to be mountains and high ones at that. Most of the country is mountainous, remote, sparsely populated and subject to cold winter temperatures and unpredictable weather changes. In adventure biking terms, about perfect.
WildWood Lesotho Wild is 5 days of mostly off-tar adventure motorcycling in the mountains and valleys of Africa’s mountain kingdom. The tour is strictly aimed at experienced adventure riders with many of the tracks being rugged unserviced mountain paths with steep descents and flowing rivers. This tour includes an additional day at Semonkong Lodge for some of the best fly fishing on the planet or just kicking back and relaxing.
We start the journey in Underberg, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. Flights into King Shaka International airport (Durban), South Africa and we shuttle you to Underberg and return at the end of the tour.
The tour enters Lesotho up the legendary Sani Pass and visits Katse Dam, Village Kings Trail, Semonkong, Ongeluksnek Pass (tough riding), Matebeng Pass (tougher) and Sehlabathebe Reserve.
Tour package includes 6 nights bed & breakfast and support 4×4 van carrying all our gear and airport shuttles.
Tour price: ZAR 17500.
KTM690 Enduro R rental ZAR 8000 (excludes accident damage deposit)
