The first week of April is always time for our Wild Coast, Lesotho, Drakensberg tour and 2025 was no exception.
We started the tour from Morgan Bay Hotel in the gorgeous sea side village of Morgan Bay. The crossing of the Kei River lead us through the wild and beautiful Transkei Wild Coast for four rugged ride days alongside the Indian Ocean.
From the coast at Mbotyi Bay our route took us inland through indigenous forests to Kwazulu Natal from where we entered Lesotho via the magnificent Sani Pass. Three days of riding the Maluti Mountains in Lesotho and then a well deserved rest day at our of all time favourite resorts, Semonkong Lodge. Wonderful to exchange our riding boots for walking shoes and a short hike to Maletsunyane Falls.
The third leg of the tour had us riding the highest and most spectacular gravel mountain passes of the southern hemisphere in and around the Southern Drakensberg Mountains. many of them steep, rugged and poorly maintained, just the way we like them.
Finally the tour headed back to the ocean where it all began. Three awesome regions flowing seamlessly into one mega tour
